Domaine Guillerault-Fargette, located in Crézancy-en-Sancerre, is a family-run estate dedicated to sustainable viticulture. Founded by Gilles Guillerault and Sébastien Fargette, the domaine covers nearly 20 hectares across two distinct terroirs: gravelly, limestone-rich Caillottes and clay-limestone Terres Blanches. The team practices manual soil cultivation and maintains natural grass cover between vine rows, avoiding herbicides and pesticides to nurture healthy vineyards. Grapes are hand-harvested, sorted, and gently fermented using gravity settling and stainless steel tanks. With minimal intervention in the cellar, their wines authentically express the purity, freshness, and minerality unique to Sancerre’s diverse soils.
Sourced from the esteemed Chêne Marchand vineyard in Bué, this Sauvignon Blanc showcases aromas of ripe yellow fruits and elderflower. The palate is opulent yet precise, with a beautiful complexity and broadness, underpinned by juicy acidity and a touch of extract sweetness. Aged on lees in a combination of stainless steel, amphorae, and concrete eggs, it offers a harmonious balance of freshness and texture, culminating in a long, chalky finish that reflects the purity of its terroir.
