Domaine de Vaccelli is one of Corsica’s benchmark estates, based in the Taravo Valley, at the southern end of the Ajaccio appellation. Founded by the Courrèges family in the early 1960s, the domaine is now run by third-generation Gérard Courrèges, alongside his sister Nathalie. The vineyards sit on rugged granitic soils, planted predominantly with native Corsican varieties including Sciaccarellu and Vermentinu. Farming has been organic since 2008, with low yields and a strong focus on individual parcels. A Burgundy lover, Gérard brings a distinctly terroir-focused, parcel-by-parcel approach to Corsica, using foudres, barrels and other neutral vessels to allow each site to speak clearly. The wines are beautifully refined, combining Mediterranean character with freshness, minerality and remarkable finesse — firmly placing Vaccelli among the island’s most compelling producers.

A serious, gastronomic rosé made from 100% Sciaccarellu grown on Vaccelli’s granitic slopes in the Taravo Valley. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged on its lees for 12 months in barrel, followed by six months in concrete egg, it has far more depth and structure than your typical rosé.

Delicate red berries, grapefruit and floral notes mingle with wild maquis herbs, while the palate is ample yet beautifully fresh, driven by salinity and fine granitic minerality. Elegant, textured and remarkably persistent — a proper terroir rosé with the structure and complexity to develop beautifully in bottle.
