A beautifully expressive Chardonnay from the southern Jura, grown on limestone and marl soils between Gizia and Rotalier. The biodynamically farmed fruit is hand-harvested and gently pressed before spontaneous fermentation, followed by almost two years on the full lees in old barrels. Sous Poids is the broader and slightly more oxidative of Boulanger & Allante’s Chardonnay cuvées, showing ripe orchard fruit and dried citrus alongside toasted hazelnut, almond and subtle herbal notes. The palate is generous and textural yet retains plenty of energy, with a savoury, lightly oxidative character balanced by vibrant acidity and pronounced salinity. Complex, wild and wonderfully persistent, with a long mineral finish.

Orders placed Mon–Fri before 12pm are processed the same day subject to stock availability. Please note that we hold a wide selection of wines and stock levels can vary by bottle; as a result, an additional day may occasionally be required to restock before dispatch.
On delivery day, you’ll receive a text message from our courier with a 1-hour delivery window.
