Domaine de la Tour du Bon is located at the highest point of the Bandol appellation in Le Brûlat du Castellet, perched on a limestone plateau just a few kilometres from the Mediterranean. The Hocquard family has farmed here since the 1960s, and today the domaine is led by Agnès Henry-Hocquard, who has guided it toward biodynamic practices and a more intuitive, light-touch winemaking style. The estate’s name means “the tower of good,” referencing a 13th-century watchtower nearby, and its wines reflect the balance and beauty of this sun-soaked but wind-cooled part of Provence.

The 2023 Rosé is made from Mourvèdre, Grenache and Cinsault, harvested by hand and pressed directly before a native yeast fermentation in steel tanks. The wine spends several months on fine lees to gain complexity and depth. This vintage shows great poise, with aromas of pink grapefruit, wild strawberry and fennel seed. The palate is dry and expansive, with subtle savoury tones and mineral precision. A serious and gastronomic rosé that ages gracefully and captures the soul of Bandol’s maritime terroir.
