Domaine de la Tour du Bon is located at the highest point of the Bandol appellation in Le Brûlat du Castellet, perched on a limestone plateau just a few kilometres from the Mediterranean. The Hocquard family has farmed here since the 1960s, and today the domaine is led by Agnès Henry-Hocquard, who has guided it toward biodynamic practices and a more intuitive, light-touch winemaking style. The estate’s name means “the tower of good,” referencing a 13th-century watchtower nearby, and its wines reflect the balance and beauty of this sun-soaked but wind-cooled part of Provence.

The 2023 Bandol Blanc is a blend of Clairette, Ugni Blanc and Rolle from chalky limestone soils at altitude. A cooler-than-average summer preserved acidity and aromatics, resulting in a fresh and focused wine. Fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel and aged on fine lees for six months, this is a white of restraint and precision. Aromas of white flowers, citrus peel, almond and sea breeze unfold on a palate that is textured but linear. A rare and elegant white from a region better known for reds and rosé.
