Giovanna Morganti hand farms a small parcel of vines that formerly provided fruit for the church. Educated in grape genetics and vineyards science Giovanna is also a knowledgeable and devoted follower of biodynamic and organic philosophy. Giovanna has two vineyards: her “Le Trame” parcel which produces Chianti Classico, and a second, much smaller parcel, “Chiesa Monti”.
The Le Trame parcel is situated 400m above sea level facing south. The soil is a mix of typical Tuscan silt and clay with shards of broken rocks dispersed through the vineyard.
The nose has aromas of leather, blueberries, floral notes and a hint of truffles. The palate is full, juicy and elegant with bright acids, ripe tannins and fascinating minerality.
