The Boschis Francesco farm has been around since 1919, but it was the 1968 grape harvest that prompted Francesco and his son Mario to begin vinifying Dolcetto themselves, which remains their main variety today. Mario, along with his sons Marco and Paolo, now run the farm and have discontinued the use of any pesticides, practising organic viticulture. Due to the vineyard's steep terrain, the grapes must be harvested by hand, and each individual variety is vinified separately.
A deep purple-red hue, full of fresh, ripe red fruit aromas, especially cherries, is the signature of this vivacious pour. On the palate, the tannins are delicate yet present, adding a unique character to this sophisticated Freisa.
