Viura Macerado Ed. Limitada, Honorio Rubio 2019
Honorio Rubio
The Rubio-Villar family have been involved with wine making in the area for well over a century. Juan Rubio Hernando built a small underground clay cellar in the town to produce “El Clarete de Cordovín” made in stone vats. Production gradually increased and subsequent family generations invested in new vineyards. The vineyard’s average age is 30 years. Soils are rich in clay and red sand at an altitude ranging from 580 to 650 meters. Annual rain fall is between 350 and 600 mm.
Quite delicate for a “light orange” wine, nice freshness and texture and a fine line of acidity.
